Who we are?

Vino Ludvik is a family winery of Ing. Ludvik Žofiak, est.1989 with its own vineyards in Modra.  Wines from our production are designed for people who are looking for quality.  We produce wines mainly from self-grown grapes in Modra, in the Small Carpathian wine region.

Our vineyards are located on the warm southeastern slopes of the Small Carpathians, in stony, loamy-sandy and loamy soil, with a great need for year-round manual and laborious work. We plant and renew vineyards.  We grow grapes in a gentle way. We produce modern wines with varietal character, in the highest category DSC, Protected Designation of Origin.

We won a number of gold medals, we got into the National Salon of Wines of the Slovak Republic, to the list of the 1000 best wines in the world in Paris Vins du Monde and in 2022 we received the highest award "Best Wine from Slovakia" at the international wine show in Lyon, France for the Grüner Veltliner Barrique with 95 points.  We do not sell our wines in supermarkets, only in wine shops and restaurants. They can not be bought in barrel state, but only bottled.
